Geetha has totally reinvented three of my most boring sarees into stunning pieces of wearable art. What I love about her is the passion and dedication with which she handles each saree that comes to her. In spite of her busy schedule, she discusses possibilities patiently with you and helps you in deciding what’s best for the fabric and for you. Whoever wears sarees, must have at least one recreated at Paisley Silks otherwise their wardrobe is incomplete. Seriously. I mean it.

This saree has a bittersweet story, but it ends with a happy twist. 😌 It’s my first black saree. Although I’ve always admired how stunning they look, I was too superstitious to buy one. I’d heard black shouldn’t be worn on auspicious occasions, so I never dared to invest in one. (I know, silly me.) But this one was a gift, and I loved it instantly. I kept it aside for two years, waiting for the perfect occasion. Finally, Diwali came, and I wore it to join friends for firecrackers and sparklers. Everything was fine until a rocket shot up, and a tiny fireball landed inside my pleated pallu. I quickly brushed it off, but later that night, I discovered multiple holes in the pallu and a large burn on my blouse. Fortunately, the blouse padding saved me from injury, but I was heartbroken to see my new saree damaged. 😞 I couldn’t help but wonder if it was a sign, but I quickly reminded myself not to be superstitious. Still, I couldn’t bear to look at the saree for a while. Months later, I decided to revive it. I had the pallu shortened, restitched, and block-printed in pink, blue, and gold. A huge thanks to Geetha Shetty for bringing my saree back to life & customising it to my requirement 😌 Recently, I wore it again to a 1000-year-old temple on the outskirts of Bangalore. May God bless both me and my black saree! Now, I’m completely in love with it all over again.

My saree a kancheepuram silk bought 10 yrs back post dry cleaning, red border color seeped into a light green saree destroyed was shunned into the old cupboard till I met her understood her work and gently offered the saree.. Thought nothing much.. she messaged and told me saree is done... Voila... I could not believe the new look my saree.. Sheer magical... Could never imagine..
